COVID TREATMENTS

We recommend guidance provided by Truth for Health Foundation and the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS). There are four treatment strategies outlined by these resources:

  • Pre-exposure/no known exposure

  • Post-exposure

  • Symptom onset

  • Severe illness

This guidance generally classifies individuals into 4 categories, based upon age and risk:

  • Under 50 with no comorbidities

  • 50 or older, OR under 50 with 1 comorbidity

  • 50 or older with 1 or more comorbidities

  • Over 80

All references can be found in Truth for Health Foundation's at-home treatment guide and the AAPS' patient guide. The outline below simplifies these two guides for quick reference while providing self-service options for generally healthy individuals and references to medical professionals for COVID-positive patients.

Pre-Exposure/No Known Exposure

There is no need to consider daily use of preventative treatment unless you belong to a high-risk category. The high-risk categories are (ref:  Flattening the Risk: Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis for COVID-19):

  • Hypertension

  • Diabetes

  • Obesity

  • Chronic kidney disease

  • Asthma/emphysema/smoking

  • Congestive heart failure

  • Liver cirrhosis

  • Malignancy/immune suppression

  • Healthy, but over 80 years old

If you are not considered high-risk, simply consult with your pharmacist about the prophylactic use of the nutraceutical bundle described in the diagram on page 2 of this summary guide. Many pharmacies now create these bundles.

If you are in one of these high-risk categories, please consult with your doctor about prophylactic use of the nutraceutical bundle described above, in addition to the preventative treatments outlined in Chapter 4 of Truth for Health's at-home treatment guide, specifically the "Prophylaxis Regimen" section.

Please go to our Doctors Who Care website to schedule an appointment.

Post-exposure

If you have been exposed to COVID, please refer to the diagram on page 2 of this summary guide and work with your pharmacist and/or doctor to begin the nutraceutical bundle as needed. Many pharmacies now create these bundles. In addition, you should consult with your doctor on the preventative treatments outlined in Chapter 4 of Truth for Health's at-home treatment guide, specifically the "Prophylaxis Regimen" section.

  • Obesity, Diabetes, or pre-diabetes (“metabolic syndrome”)

  • Lung disease (COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, asthma, cystic fibrosis)

  • Hypertension, Cardiovascular Disease

  • Kidney disease and/or Autoimmune disorders

Please go to our Doctors Who Care website to schedule an appointment.

Hospital Treatment

We recommend the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance MATH+ Hospital Treatment protocol. This is a great 2-page summary that you should review with your doctor before admitting yourself or your loved one to the hospital.
